Senior Drivers
As we age, changes in vision, mobility, reaction time, or simply spending less time behind the wheel can affect driving confidence and ability. A professional driving evaluation can provide valuable, objective information about a senior driver's current knowledge and driving skills.
Our Silver Driver Evaluation is designed for older adults who want an independent assessment of their driving abilities, whether for personal peace of mind or at the request of a family member, physician, care provider, or the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
A Silver Driver Evaluation can help:
✓ Provide an objective assessment of current driving skills
✓ Reassure the driver, family members, physicians, or care providers
✓ Identify areas that may benefit from additional practice or instruction
✓ Evaluate driving skills following a period of inactivity or recovery
✓ Build confidence behind the wheel
✓ Provide professional documentation of the driver's demonstrated performance
Our experienced instructors provide a calm, respectful, and judgment-free evaluation focused on safety, independence, and the driver's demonstrated abilities.

How it Works
Every Silver Driver Evaluation is designed to provide an objective, respectful, and professional assessment of a driver's current knowledge and behind-the-wheel abilities.
📝 The Evaluation Includes:
A modified written assessment covering Texas traffic laws, rules of the road, and traffic signs
A 45-minute behind-the-wheel evaluation with an experienced driver education instructor
A detailed written report documenting the driver's demonstrated knowledge and driving performance
The completed report may be provided to the:
Driver
Caregiver or family member
Physician or other care professional
Employer, when applicable
Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), when requested for a driver-license review or hearing
📄 What's Included in the Report?
Results of the written knowledge and behind-the-wheel assessments
Instructor observations of driving behaviors and demonstrated skill level
Identification of areas of strength and areas that may need improvement
Recommendations for additional training or practice, when appropriate
Recommendations regarding driving environments or conditions that may be appropriate to avoid, when warranted
Our evaluations are practical, objective, and non-judgmental, providing drivers and their families with valuable information to help make informed decisions about safe and confident driving.
